 Ecological Mangrove Rehabilitation Workshop, SRK Kuala Gula, Perak, 12-15 June 2009

The Ecological Mangrove Rehabilitation (EMR) workshop was co-organized by the Global Environment Centre, Mangrove Action Project- Indonesia and funded by the Force of Nature Aid Foundation. This EMR workshop was attended primarily by local community fisherfolk, together with representatives of government agencies involved in the management of the Kuala Gula Wildlife Sanctuary and other mangrove conservation related organizations. All participants were engaged in hands-on learning about Ecological Mangrove Rehabilitation, through a series of field and classroom lessons. Stress was placed on value-sharing, open communication and participation.
